Tattersalls International - Cross Country
Cross country day at Tattersalls has gone well with both Luxury FH and Henton For Fun jumping good clear rounds in the CCI* in the morning.
Neither horse picked up any time penalties so Henton For Fun remains the leader and Luxury FH moves into 3rd place - as he was closest to the optimum time he pushes Millie Dumas (Cyres) from equal 3rd into 4th. With only a pole seperating the top five, tomorrows show jumping phase is going to be rather tense!
In the CCI** this afternoon Fernhill Pimms had a rather disappointing run out in the water which put pay to his chances. I didn't rush him after this and he cames home with 20+ time penalties. He is still a new ride for me so I will put this down to experience! Freddie Mac went superbly across country jumping a lovely clear just picking up a couple of time penatlies. He felt really confident and happy which was fantatsic after the disappointment of his dressage mark.
Tom Grant had a frustrating run out early on the course in the CCI** UNder 25 section but otherwise jumped a super round.
With the cross country running late into the evening it was a late night for us all.
