Gatcombe dressage day

We have had a very good dressage day at Gatcombe

Top is leading the Novice Championship on a score of 23.3, he did a really lovely test, one of his best with no mistakes and I felt he very much deserved the mark he got.

I was also really pleased with Topaze who is lying in 6th place on a score of 30.5.  He put in a very solid performance with no mistakes which produced his best test to date. He coped really well with the atmosphere and I am delighted with how he has come on in that phase.

Bay My Hero is lying 2nd so far in his advanced section on a score of 28.9, he did some super work and I certainly expected him to be right amongst the leaders.

Having run well at Aachen I decided not to bring Chilli Morning.  

Tomorrow we have got a very busy day starting with Freddie Macs dressage.  The cross country courses look demanding, but at the moment the ground is still pretty firm.  Gatcombe didn't get much rain today but with heavy rain forecasted tomorrow, conditions could change dramatically.
