Withington Manor

Fernhill Pimms and Luxury FH had an excellent day at Withington, thanks to some heavy overnight rain conditions were pretty much perfect, and I was delighted with them both.

Luxury did a very pleasing test to score 32, he is really developing all the time and doing some good work, particularly considering it is only his fourth Advanced test. He jumped a very good clear in the show jumping, and was excellent cross country.  He had a perfect prep run for the 3* CCI at Tattersalls, and I got a few time faults wasting time taking it a bit easy down the hills.

Fernhill Pimms was slightly on his toes, but still managed to be right up there amongst the leaders on a score of 28, with a couple of over enthusiastic mistakes. He jumped a superb clear in the show jumping and gave me another excellent ride cross country, feeling very happy and full of confidence. So far he has had an excellent spring, and I am hoping good performances in his last three Advanced runs will have set up him really well for Bramham.

Having not been to Withington for a few years now it was great to be back, it was a very relaxed and enjoyable day. As always it was an excellent atmosphere and everyone could not have been more helpful and friendly.
