Osberton - Saturday update
Overall we have had a very good Saturday at Osberton.
The 7 year olds all performed well in the dressage with Reinstated finishing 4th, Dynasty joint 5th and The Soapdodger joint 8th. After the show jumping Dynasty is still in 3rd, The Soapdodger had the last fence down to drop to 11th, and Reinstated didn't have such a good day rolling three poles. They run cross country tomorrow in reverse order and I am looking toward to seeing how Dynasty copes in his first CIC*. It is a good course for him and I am hoping that he copes well.
Little Fire jumped a superb clear show jumping and is now lying 2nd. Pippa Funnell is well ahead on 33.9.
The CCI2* horses Ramdam de Mons and Secret Night both went really well, clear and inside the time, to move up to second and fourth. I was really pleased with Ramdam who flew around enjoying every minute of it, and I was delighted also with Secret Night in his first CCI2*. He coped easily and gave me a lovely smooth ride. Both finished clear and inside the time and are looking good this evening.
I was thrilled with my two five year olds yesterday. Stephanie Ilsleys's Blickfield finished on his dressage score of 28 and held on to his fourth place. The Graduate jumped a double clear and moved up to 18th. He will have benefited from a very good experience.
