SSG Gloves Sponsors British Olympian William Fox-Pitt
Aurora, Ontario: SSG Riding Gloves has teamed up with British Olympian and three-time HSBC world number one William Fox-Pitt as a sponsor of the Fox-Pitt Eventing Team. Fox-Pitt has signed a one-year sponsorship agreement with SSG Riding Gloves, which is the leading manufacturer worldwide of riding gloves for a multitude of disciplines. Fox-Pitt first wore the gloves at the Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event last year, where he finished second and won $15,000 in the SSG Go Low For The Dough Contingency Bonus Award for being the rider with the lowest score in the dressage phase and clear jumping and closest to the optimum time in cross country and show jumping.
William Fox-Pitt, eleven time British number one event rider, has represented his country consistently over the past fifteen years, winning Team Silver at the 2012 London Olympics, Team Silver at the 2004 Athens Olympics, Team Bronze at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Team Gold and Individual Silver at the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Kentucky, Team silver at the 2006 World Equestrian Games in Aachen and Team Bronze in the 2002 World Equestrian Games in Jerez. He has also won seven Team Gold medals at the European Championships and is the only rider to have won five of six CCI4’s worldwide with six wins at Burghley, two at the Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event, two at Pau, and one each at Badminton and Luhmuhlen.
"SSG produce great gloves, they are comfortable and have a fantastic grip,” said William Fox-Pitt. “They were obviously very lucky for me when I wore them at Rolex 2013, and I have worn them ever since."
William and his team at Fox-Pitt Eventing use a variety of SSG Gloves, with the SSG “Digital” riding glove being his competition glove of choice.
