Boekelo & Nations Cup - Dressage

I am very pleased with Grafennacht today, she put in a very solid performance and totally deserved her mark of 24.9.  She made no mistakes and really concentrated well.  She probably lost a few marks fidgeting in her halt, and her medium trot was not maybe as flamboyant as it could be but I am being very picky.  She is lying in 4th place and it is very tight at the top of the leader board, but there are a lot of marks in the 20’s so there is no space for adding any more penalties.

They have only done half of the field, although with the Nations Cup classes they run all the team horses first so tomorrow is made up of remaining individuals, but there could well be just as good tests tomorrow.

I am gradually finding my bearings around the ‘new look’ Boekelo, it is quite amazing what they have created here with a very impressive

all-weather arena.    It is quite exciting that the only Boekelo bog we will see will be on the cross country.  There is a motorway running straight through the original showground so I am sure a generous payout has gone towards creating the new event.
