Aston Le Walls
I had a good day at Aston Le Walls yesterday. It was good to have a day at home on Tuesday but it was very enjoyable to be at a normal event again!
Deli Star Hero was much more settled in his dressage to score 32.3 and jumped a super double clear picking up 9.6 time penalties to finish just outside the placing’s in his OI section.
Before Time was having another OI run before his first Advanced run this year at Chatsworth on Sunday, I was really pleased with his dressage which is improving all the time but I was a bit disappointed with his score of 36.4. He also went double clear but I took him quite steady.
I had my first ride on Fernhill Pimms and he gave me a great feel. He made a couple of small mistakes in his test to score 31.4. He jumped very well and was unlucky to roll a pole in the show jumping and he was a lovely ride across country.
The team at Aston Le Walls had done a great job, doing plenty of watering as the ground had firmed up a lot in the last week, They built a nice flowing course which rode very well all day.
I am back at Aston Le Walls today with three novices before heading to Chatsworth tomorrow for the weekend with six.
