I have had a very happy day at Aston, all four horses doing double clears - it doesn't get much better than that.  They all did pretty decent dressage as well.

Latest Edition was quite bright and breezy, a bit frisky in his dressage.  He did some lovely bits and was quite excited with boundy moments, and did well to get a 31 obviously with some nice marks in there.  He show jumped really well, jumped a lovely clear, gave me a great feeling.  Was very confident and straight, it was a very good course and he tackled it in a postive way.  The ground was obviously firm but they had worked hard with spiking, and it had drizzled with rain all day, all had made it quite acceptable.

Next on was Seeing Double (Rocket), again his dressage is coming on, but not quite there yet, with bits and bobs that will come.  He got a 32 which is sort of where he is at the monent, so I was pleased with that.  There is still a little bit of excitement as it's only the second time I have competed him. His show jumping and cross country was very impressive, and I am rather wishing I was a few years younger and I could enjoy him up the grades because he is going to be a top horse.

Cusco had a good day, did a nice dressage, got 29 and double clear.  He is really growing up and developing, and making it all feel nice and easy.   I went a little bit quicker on him, and finished with 8 time faults in 5th place.  We dont know at this time of year what the ground is going to be like so I pushed on a little bit with the rain.

Hussard Brun (Bruno) had a very pleasing day as well, finishing 3rd. He did a nice test of 31, was a little bit on his toes.  We could see the cross country through the hedge and he was certainly quite bright.  He show jumped a nice solid clear round, and flew around the cross country inside the time.  He made it feel great.

Boysie has had a good day with Sara today at Harpury.  I am heading back up there tomorrow afternoon.  His cross country is early Saturday morning and I am hoping it will be well within him, and that he finds his first 2*L all nice and easy. I am expecting the ground is going to ride well.
