We are now up at Chatsworth and had a very trouble free trip up.
First on was Crunchie doing his first 2* dressage and I was delighted with him. I have never done sitting trot, worn top hat and tails on him, and he has never been in an arena. So to make one mistake was quite a miracle and he ended on 28, a couple of points behind the leader. Show jumping in the main arena was a bit of a big ask particularly in quite heavy ground. We had quite a serious downpour and the ground has certainly gone from good to good/soft in most places. He had three down but I was in no way disappointed. He just got a bit stuck and was a bit tight behind, but he was really trying and as I keep on saying, it will all come together.
Yes I Can was in the Advanced short dressage and very unfortunately we were doing our dressage in a torrential downpour, and he coped well with that but he didn’t go very well. He did quite a few things wrong which he shouldn’t have. We moved him into the Advanced and I am very happy that he will be going cross country tomorrow and getting the best of the mud.
Kazu is in the 4*S and did his dressage on Brookpark Vikenti, they did a very good test to score 26. He did some lovely work and it was a great performance ahead of Luhmühlen.
Vinci de la Vigne is also in the regular Advanced and is on a score of 30, and I think everything is going the right way but there were a few little misunderstandings.
