Hartpury

Had a successful day two at Hartpury.

 

Parklane Hawk jumped a very good show jumping round but rolled a pole, and I decided not to run him on the cross country.

 

Neuf de Coeurs show jumped clear which moved him up into 2nd place.  He then gave me a very good ride cross country, which felt spot on, but he added 9.3 time points and finished 6th.

 

Lionheart was superb in the show jumping, and jumped an easy clear cross country to finish 10th. I took him a little bit steady but he jumped really well and loved every minute of it.

 

The team at Hartpury have done an excellent job preparing the ground, particularly during such a tough dry summer.  The course did dry out a little bit today and it has been very warm, but on the whole the ground has been as good as it has ever been.
