Cornbury update
I had quite a mixed day at Cornbury yesterday, it was jolly hot but the horses coped very well.
I had Absolutely doing the 6yo final, and very annoyingly I rather let him down with an error of course and we got a moderate mark in the end, which was a shame as I had certainly hoped he would have been seriously competitive.
Grafennacht was having her last run before her hopeful trip to Maryland. She did a lovely dressage, frustratingly had two down in the show jumping and then popped round a nice straight forward cross country very happily.
Duke Legacy was having his first run since Hartpury, again he did a pleasing test of 28 and jumped a really good clear in the show jumping, probably his best round ever which is exciting. We decided in the heat and on the hardening ground that the cross country run wasn’t essential.
