West Wilts

The Novices had an excellent competition at West Wilts yesterday.

Ramdam de Mons won his Novice section.  He did another good test to score 23 and added nothing to that with a superb double clear.  He is really coming together now and is feeling much more confident in me.  Very exciting to notch up his first win, and hopefully he will now progress fairly quickly and I am looking forward to riding him in a few more events before the end of the season.

Reinstated was competing in his last Novice, having upgraded.  I was delighted with how he went, finishing second on his dressage score of 31.5.  His test had a couple of small mistakes which was a shame, but his jumping and cross country were excellent, and he felt very established at the level.  He has now got 26 points and I am hoping to take him to Osberton for the 6 year old final.

The Soapdodger was on top form winning his section on his dressage score of 22.5.   He did a lovely test which was nice and forward.  His show jumping round was very polished and he flew around the cross country nicely inside the time.  The win upgraded him to Intermediate and he is now qualified for two Novice Regional Finals next season.
