Aston Le Walls

We had perfect conditions at Aston today which was a nice surprise. Apparently the event had come very close to being cancelled after heavy rain yesterday, and the team had worked late into the night to alter the course onto some drier ground.

I had five horses there, four of whom are having their last outing before Tattersalls.

Henton for Fun did an excellent dressage of 27, and followed it up with a double clear to finish 8th. This gained him two points which has upgraded him to Advanced! So he is now officially a grown up.

Luxury FH got a 37 dressage, and jumped a double clear.

Gaucho did a lovely test in the OI of 29, he had a frustrating pole down but then flew round the cross country.

Top Biats, despite not being his usual perfect self in the dressage, scored 30.5. He also did a solid double clear.

I let them all move up a gear as the ground was perfect, and they really enjoyed that.

I have now got a day at home tomorrow before heading up to Chatsworth on Friday.
