The 2017 season has ended! and it has finished on a very happy note at Oasby, where it was a busy day but everything went to plan.

I had Catherine's four out, and for most of them it was their second run;

Koko Pop was in the Open Novice.  He did a much more relaxed dressage and I was pleased with that, and he scored 31.  He jumped a pretty good show jumping round and just rolled one pole, and then gave me a great ride cross country.  The course wasn't too demanding, but had a nice bit of variety and he coped well.

Barrichello was having a nice straight forward run after Blenheim, as I wanted to finish him on an OI and also get to know him a bit more.  He was quite on his toes so it was good to have him out, and he did a lovely dressage with a few little mistakes to score 31. His show jumping was good but he just rolled one pole.  And he felt very confident and happy cross country and also nice and relaxed, the most important thing was he jumped the water very well after our near miss at Blenheim.  That was a very good note for him to finish on, and the season ahead will be very exciting 2018.

Bay My Hero was very happy to be out for the first time since Blair Europeans 2015.  He of course did a super test to score 24 and did a lovely double clear.  It was lovely to be back on him again, nothing had changed and he felt like he had been out last week.  He got a few time faults and finished 6th which was pleasing.  He is going to tick over this winter as I am dreaming of taking him to America to do the American showcase in Wellington in February.

Luxury was still a little bit on his toes and the lovely bits of his dressage test were interspersed with a few rebellious moments and he scored 36, but he also did a very easy double clear.

Fernhill Pimms also did a nice test to score 31, and gave me a super double clear as well.

So we finished on very happy notes which will make the long drive home slightly less painful.
