Aldon, Saturday 18th March
We have had another happy day at Aldon.
The Gaduate was having his first outing of the season and was right on form, he was second after dressage on 27, and then did a very solid double clear with time faults. He show jumped very well considering he must have been quite excited, going cross country he felt very happy and rhythmical.
I was having my second run on Shannondale Percy and he was nice and relaxed. He did a good dressage to score 31. The marking in his arena was very strange; there was one on a score of 26 and the worst was 38, so she really didn't use her range of marks. He then was unlucky to roll a pole show jumping because he jumped very well - we got a little deep to one oxer. He felt super cross country, very confident and relaxed. He is certainly an enjoyable ride.
We are back tomorrow for the Intermediate day and are hoping the rain stays away.
