Burnham Market Day 1
Day one at Burnham Market went very much to plan.
Topaze did a very good double clear in the novice with a 34 dressage. I was very happy with his test but all the marks were very close and 34 was certainly one of the best in the section. I got quite a few time faults which put him out of the money.
Top Biats had an excellent day scoring 21 in the dressage which had him comfortably in the lead, he then jumped double clear just adding time faults. I was very happy with him, he is developing all the time and that was a good Intermediate to have under his belt.
I decided not to run Gaucho cross country after having done a good dressage of 32 and a clear show jumping, I felt the ground was just a bit on the firm side.
Freddie Mac CIC3* got off to a good start, scoring 46 in the dressage. He is coming on well and I was delighted with how he felt. His show jumping and cross country are tomorrow afternoon, so we have got a relaxing morning ahead, which will be a treat.
