Chatsworth - Sunday

Cool Mountain rounded off his very successful trip to Chatsworth, finishing 8^th in the CIC with an excellent double clear.  He jumped very well in the show jumping enjoying the perfect ground and gave me a superb ride cross country.  He got 17 time faults which felt a good speed, the ground was good but there were some very soft patches which was inevitable given the heavy rain earlier in the week.

Chilli Morning hit one fence in the show jumping but still held on to his dressage lead.  I was pleased with how he went and it was a good opportunity to expose him to the buzzy Chatsworth atmosphere.  However I decided not to run him cross country as his plan is to go to Bramham and Aachen.

The CIC course caused plenty of trouble and as genuine qualifier it was probably too tough.  However good horses made light work of the course which was undoubtedly beautifully presented and asked lots of interesting questions.

It was great for Chatsworth that they were blessed with some beautiful weather after the last couple of wet years, what a difference it makes.

The Chatsworth team did a fantastic job accommodating a huge entry, now switching to a full day of dressage on the Friday.
