Yard update after BE cancellations
Sadly things are grinding to a halt and it is currently very tough having no competitions to aim for, but we will survive!
The horses at the moment are staying in lighter work and it would be great to know how long all the cancellations will go on for. I would like to give all the horses a short holiday to diffuse, they are all bursting out of their skins, but the ground is too wet so we are focusing on a bit more training. When things finally do get going there will be absolutely no excuse for any imperfections.
On the training front we are very lucky to have Tracey Robinson and Ros Morgan booked in to visit, and I am hoping I might get Chris Bartle and Yogi down as well.
I am also thinking about building jumping courses and Jump4Joy cross country courses to keep us all on our toes. I am currently on my way for a lesson with Carl Hester, so we are determined to keep busy. Sadly I have had to cancel the cross country clinic which I was hosting at Portman in April.
I am very much hoping to keep all of the horses at the yard as I really need to keep my team of staff busy and in place for when the season does restart. At the moment the yard is still bursting at the seams and long may it continue.
I am also hoping to get owners down to see their horses work as it is very demoralising all around to have lost Kentucky and possibly Badminton, we are saying our prayers for Tokyo.
