Lion d’Anger - results
It was a great finish to the Lion trip with Lillie finishing 4th in the 7yo. She jumped a really good round but very frustratingly just touched the first fence, otherwise she would have won. We jumped in the main arena in the end and the ground was pretty mucky to say the least. I was more than chuffed with how she coped with the deep ground and she really did jump her socks off.
She finished the competition as best mare, and highest owner breeder, but it was jolly sad she didn’t get any prizes for those achievements. The important thing was that I have come away from Lion really pleased and jolly excited about next season.
Everyone was very supportive considering it was my first visit since my fall in 2015. Everyone was right behind me and it was great to have good friends Fousses and Pamela there to hold my hand just in case. My family stayed with them when I was in my coma so they were very keen to be there this year and check everything was ok.
It was a great win for Tim Price who came up from 8th place after cross country, and it was a top result for Lillie to end up as the second highest British Horse.
