Tweseldown
Today was Duke Legacy in the Novice and he had another good day. His dressage was 30, it was a very nice quiet test, he found the bumps in the arena quite hard work but he coped well. And then in the show jumping he jumped a lovely round but he ruined his novice record with one down which was just unlucky. He took on the cross country very confidently and he coped with all the questions. It wasn’t a very difficult novice but it was certainly the biggest track he has ever done and the course did ask a few decent questions, and I really felt he is learning to judge his jump and himself accordingly. I got 20 time faults but I was not interested in speed.
Centurian Bay was out and did a very pleasing test of 27. Had one show jump down which was a shame and I decided not to run his cross country this time.
Tweseldown had done a great job taking on the Rockingham classes, they have managed to put up 6 tracks which is no mean feat, there aren’t many places that could do that. I think over all all the courses were meeting with approval and we are very lucky to have an alternative 2 and 3*S.
