Mid Summer update

Following my decision to no longer compete the top level, Amanda Gould and I have been considering Grafennacht and her new pilot.  We have come to the conclusion that she should go to Harry Meade.  I rate Harry very highly as a jockey and will really enjoy watching their progress.

Grafennacht is currently at stud trying to do embryo transfer, and she will be going to Harry’s yard shortly.  Although she has been competing at 5* level she will not be allowed to go straight to that level with a new rider, so she will have to do an Autumn 4*.   Harry will make plans about where this will be. 

Following Vicky Brake’s terrible hand injury, she decided to send me a couple of her novice horses.  It is devastating to get rides under these circumstances but I am very happy to be of some use. They are lovely horses, Vicky has a fantastic eye and I am hoping to take them to their first event soon.

I have been riding my niece’s horse Violetta. She was sitting her GCSE exams which she has now finished, so Violetta is returning after the event today.  I am hoping her first Intermediate at Farley Hall goes well
