Yesterday was a very pleasing day at Wellington with the Novices.
Seeing Double is definitely settling in and I was very pleased with his dressage test, even though he got 33 he did some very nice work. He show jumped as usual foot perfectly, and gave me a very pleasing ride cross country. We did have a stupid glance off at an arrowhead coming out of the water, he was spooking in the water and I couldn't really get him straight, it was just a green error.
Cusco did a nice test of 27. I was happy with his show jumping round, he jumped well, had one down. On the cross country he felt great and was a bit spooky at times but is really coming on.
Hussard Brun was great finishing third, and I was very pleased with his dressage of 28. He had a double clear so finished on 28 and had a great result.
My girls are off to Bicton today for the Pony Club Regional Championships and have nabbed my lorry to stay in this weekend. So I am going back to Wellington to ride Vicky Brake's horses and Boysie in my old hunting lorry - a sign of things to come!
Zach is up at Blair, he did a slightly buzzy dressage test, the horse was on his toes. Hopefully he will settle down for Blenheim. They are jumping cross country today, and as the weather has been a little bit damp I am hoping he will get some good ground.
