Farley Hall

What a lovely event Farley Hall is.  The team really do put huge effort into it and it is very much a pleasure for owners and riders to be there.

I had a very enjoyable day on Saturday with my two old pros.  I had wanted to give Bay My Hero and Fernhill Pimms a straight forward run as they seemed to be just coming out to CIC3* and big ones.  In fact Bay My Hero has not had an OI run this year.  As it turned out they couldn’t have been better, Bay My Hero led the dressage on 24 and he did a super double clear, miraculously with no time faults.  He finished first and Pimms who was second to him after the dressage on a score of 25, also finished on that score to end up second.

The ground work team had really done the best job on the going, and considering it was bone dry the cross country could not have ridden kinder.
Obviously the cross country time was quite gentle as I managed to go inside it twice!  The course was nice and straight forward but asked a few easy questions.

I think everyone had a very agreeable Farley Hall experience, and it has really taken over Salperton’s valuable place impressively.
