Withington - Saturday
Today the wind was totally crazy at Withington but it didn’t rain so we can’t complain.
Georgisaurous had another very pleasing day, he did a lovely test of 28, show jumped really well and clear with 1 time fault, and then went very happily around the cross country. The course was lovely and the ground was pretty much perfect so I bowled on a bit, but obviously not enough and he ended up down and out of the placing.
Atlantic Vital Spark was slightly on his toes in the wind, he got 32 in the dressage. He jumped pretty decently but had two poles down, and he then flew around the cross country taking it all in his stride, and only got 6 time faults.
Summer at Fernhill had a much better day than at Burnham Market, and he did a pretty decent test this time to get 27, he jumped a really good clear show jumping and then went well cross country, with a few green moments, but feeling very straight when he wasn’t having a random spook.
We are back again tomorrow with the Novices, and hoping that the wind has settled down.
