Tattersalls - 1* horses - Topaze du Plain and Top Biats

Topaze du Plain did his dressage test yesterday, and scored 50.4.  He did some lovely work showing real potential, but there was a spooky camera that he spotted which led to a few mistakes, which were very expensive.  However it was a good experience for him and hopefully he will learn a lot over the weekend.

Top Biats did a superb test to score 36.9, which currently puts him in the lead.  I was very happy with how he went and he thoroughly deserved the marks, producing a very smooth and fault free test.  The arena had a got a bit muddy but I was very pleased with how he coped with that. 

The 1* cross country course is quite different from last year, being bold and attacking with several large ditches.  Overall it is not very technical but there is one decent corner preceded by a big drop which will be quite tricky.
