Tattersalls - Friday update
Tattersalls - Friday
We had a very good day at Tattersalls, with both Topaze and Top going really well cross country, and clear inside the time.
Topaze rose to the challenge, and gave me an excellent ride over what will be the biggest course he has ever done.
Top held on to his dressage lead, but he still hasn't got a fence in hand for tomorrow's show jumping.
In the CCI2* Henton for Fun did a superb test to be leading on a score of 33.5. I was delighted with how well he went, and how relaxed he was, which meant he could show off his paces.
Luxury FH is lying in fifth place but still right up there. I couldn't have been happier with his dressage, it was the best test by far that he has ever produced and he was really relaxed and soft.
The 2* cross country is a serious track with the four waters taking a fair amount of jumping, and although the ground is superb it is a little holding in parts which could be quite tiring.
Gaucho is lying 11th in the 3* on a score of 49.6, and again I was very happy with his test. He did some lovely work and was very relaxed and confident. The leader is only 9 marks ahead so scores are fairly tight.
The 3* course is big and bold and is a little bit longer this year, hopefully we will have a good round.
Timings for Saturday:-
Luxury FH at 11.55am
Henton for Fun at 1.07pm
Gaucho at 3.57pm
